Summer is right around the corner, and that means it's time for another exciting season of Willard Parks Summer Camp! This year, we’re kicking things up a notch with an incredible lineup of activities, field trips, and—best of all—a fantastic new Camp Director leading the charge.
Meet Emily Mills: Our New Camp Director!
We couldn't be more excited to introduce Emily Mills as the new Summer Camp Coordinator for Willard Parks! Emily joined Willard Parks full time in October, and has been shining in her new role as youth programs and events coordinator. Emily’s passion for working with children, her deep roots in our community, and her wealth of experience make her the perfect leader for our 2025 Summer Camp Program. Get ready for a summer full of fun, adventure, and unforgettable memories!
Emily is a proud graduate of Willard Schools and a long-time community member who has dedicated her career to enriching the lives of children and families. Her background includes teaching, youth leadership, childcare, and running her own business. Her experience includes:
• Former camp counselor, Kids Zone staff, and sports program assistant at the Rec Center
• Teaching experience at Promise Preschool in Nixa
• Leadership roles as a Church Outreach Director and Co-Youth Leader
• Running an in-home daycare for several years to stay home with her children
• Providing compassionate care in various roles, ensuring children's well-being and emotional development
• Rudimentary medical experience that helps her prioritize safety and respond effectively to basic health concerns
Emily and her husband, Matthew, have been married for 14 years and are raising four Willard Tigers, ranging from pre-k to sixth grade. She is thrilled to step into this role and bring fresh energy to our Summer Camp Program. She is especially excited to focus on staff training, setting new standards for safety, and ensuring every child has a summer filled with adventure and engagement.

With Emily’s leadership, campers will enjoy a well-rounded, fun, and engaging program that takes full advantage of Willard’s fantastic outdoor spaces, playgrounds, and community resources. Campers will have the opportunity to explore new activities, participate in creative crafts, and experience thrilling field trips that will make this the best summer yet!
Camp Location & Schedule
This year’s summer camp will be held at the Willard Community Building, 220 West Jackson, Willard. Whether it’s a high-energy day of games, creative arts and crafts, or thrilling field trips, every week will bring something new to keep campers engaged and having fun!

• Week 3 (June 11th): Camp Character – Zipline training & outdoor fun
• Week 4 (June 18th): Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery – Interactive educational experience
• Week 5 (June 25th): Ozark Mountain Gymnastics
• Week 6 (July 2nd): Fire Station #1 – Explore fire trucks & equipment
• Week 7 (July 9th): Strafford Splash Pad – Water fun!
• Week 8 (July 16th): Jump Mania – Bounce house excitement (waivers required)
• Week 9 (July 23rd): Coca-Cola Factory – Behind-the-scenes tour & taste testing
• Week 10 (July 30th): Sunshine Lanes – Bowling fun
• Week 11 (August 6th): College Station Theatres
• Week 12 (August 13th): Field Day w/ Firefighters – Outdoor games & firetruck fun
